Dogablog - March 2009

29th March  2009

Special thanks to Maxeen for handling Blaze and making showing a lot easier for Heather since she has had that stroke, we appreciate the support provided for both Heather and Blaze.

Maxeen you rock!!!

Thursday

A warm thank you to Heather and Blaze (Elkana Captain Picard) as we have received our breeders Championship papers today in the mail from the Canine Control Counncil of QLD (CCCq). Mind you we do not collect the mail everyday. It was a pleasant surprise to receive our certificate. The best part is that Blaze is quite a young dog and there is still more showing that he can pursue.

Wednesday

Vale to Ash The Border Collie

Ron and Sue Turner lost their Border Collie this week.

Ash at the time of his passing he was over 15years old.

I met him a whilst picking up Zarley whom the girls show on behalf of Ron.

He was quite a substantial dog even for his age.

We're sorry to hear of your loss and he will be thought of affectionately by us all here at Elkana Border Collies.

10 points in each drive section where that happens all or part of the way.

OPEN TRIAL: Open to all worker and dog combinations (all breeds), where dogs can do 100 metre
outruns and can drive the sheep with the worker. In the drive legs of the course, the dogs must
drive, not fetch.
